It allows users to search for and explore historical climate data across Canada using map based selection tools and search options. TIMEZONE FIX FOR YUKON STATIONS. In November 2020, Yukon permanently adopted Mountain Standard Time (UTC-7) year-round. Upon investigation, time zone changes were needed for 19 locations, for a total of 34 stations. Fixes were implemented on February 17, 2026 for Beaver Creek, Burwash, Carmacks, Dawson, Faro, Haines Junction, Herschel Island, Ivvavik National Park, Komakuk Beach, MacMillan Pass, Margaret Lake, Mayo, Old Crow, Pelly Ranch Fort Selkirk, Rock River, Shingle Point, Teslin, Watson Lake, and Whitehorse. Users are advised to re-download the data covering the period of November 2020 to February 2026 for these locations to ensure that the time zone is correct. We apologize for this inconvenience. What's New in the latest release from March 3, 2026:

Web addresses (URLs) used to access Historical Data, Almanac Average & Extremes, and Canadian Climate Normals pages (from 1971-1990 onwards) pages have been updated to use Climate Identifiers. As a result, bookmarks or saved links may no longer work and will display an error message. To update your bookmarks, from the Historical Climate Data page, use the search to find the location of interest, and save the URL.
